Research Staff / Postdocs - How We Can Help You

We offer a specialist careers service for contract research staff/postdocs, providing help both for those planning an academic research career and those planning a move away from academic research.

The service is free and completely confidential and includes online resources, workshops and events. You also have access to one-to-one careers consultations with your careers adviser, where you can discuss any aspect of your career.

To take advantage of this service you need to register with us

Registration

Registration is quick and easy; just fill in the registration form. Once registered you will have access to the resources on our postdoc careers service pages as well as all the student careers service pages. You will also find out about workshops and events for postdocs through occasional email alerts.

Your careers adviser

Life sciences

Katie Hewitt is the careers adviser for the Schools of Biological Sciences and Clinical Medicine, and also supports postdocs at the Cambridge MRC Units, the Babraham Institute, the Sanger Institute, CRUK Cambridge Research Institute and the European Bioinformatics Institute.
Sally Todd provides careers discussions careers discussions for Life Science postdocs at the Addenbrooke's site and Sanger Institute, which you can book online.

Liz Simmonds and Madelaine Chapman are the careers advisers for the Schools of the Physical Sciences and Technology.
