Careers in Economics Event

We found that the students had backgrounds in economics, land economy and finance, studying at all levels: undergraduate, mphil and phd. It was great to meet such a range of students. Thank you for arranging such a great event.

Description of event: This event has been designed to match undergraduates and postgraduates in economics (or related disciplines) to opportunities with organisations recruiting solely for economics-related positions.

Open To: Organisations offering career opportunities that are economics-related. We give priority to those organisations who have not attended any of our other events.

Cost: £450 plus VAT. (Please read our booking terms and conditions).

Stand: Due to space restrictions 'pop-up' stands are not permitted, you may bring one 'banner' stand (max 1m wide, 2m high) to be positioned at the back of the bay. The use of Laptops and other A/V equipment is also not permitted. Each library bay has a fixed table. No food or drink, other than water, in the Library.

Representatives: Two representatives per pitch is the permitted maximum.

Extra Info: Lunch and refreshments provided (in a separate room) throughout the event. The event takes place in the Marshall Library of Economics.

2017 Attendance Stats:  Of the 145 students at the event, 58% of the students were male. 65 were undergraduate and 71 were postgraduate. All bar 5 of the undergraduates were studying Economics. 22% were in their final year of study, 55% were penultimate year students and 23% were first years.
