Event publicity

  • Website: Each participating organisation is listed on the webpage of the event(s) they are attending, with links to the organisation's own website, their event programme entry, and to their current vacancies on our searchable database Vacancies & Opportunities.
  • Event Programme: We will ask you to submit promotional text via an online template prior to the event. This text will be used to produce your organisation's entry in the printed programme, which we distribute to the students, as well as in the online flip-book version available two weeks before the event. The entry and flip-book both remain live online for at least a year. An example entry can be seen in each event's sample programme (please see the individual event pages).
  • Additional Advertising: In addition to the free publicity above, you may also purchase space in the programme for a commercial recruitment advertisement such as you would place in newspapers or journals. This will appear in both the printed programme and the flip-book programme. We also offer sponsorship opportunities for the bags and shirts used at the events, do get in touch if you have any questions or would like more information about either of these, or see the Sample Programme on each event webpage.

How we promote our events

  • CamCareers emails: Targeted and sector specific emails sent to students that have signed up for this service.
  • Event diary: An online diary is available to students throughout term, and is sent out via email each Thursday, detailing the events taking place the following week.
  • Posters: Colleges and departments around the University display event posters in the lead up to the event.
  • CamCareers flyer: A printed flyer with details of all the upcoming events is posted in students' pigeon holes at the start of term.
  • Facebook: Each key event will have its own Facebook event page, promoted via the Careers Service Facebook account.
