Raising your profile - adverts in publications

Our publications

Event Programme: If you are attending a careers event you may purchase additional advertising in the event programme in the form of a one page full colour advert. Talk to the events team for more information, or see the sample programme on each event page for costs, and an example of advertising.

The Cambridge Careers Guide: an annual graduate careers publication packed with practical advice and information on employers targeting University of Cambridge students. The Guide is handed out to hundreds of students at Freshers’ Fair each October, as well as in-house at the Careers Service. It contains information about our service and the A-Z of graduate careers. Over 200 organisations advertise their recruitment and vacation opportunities within the publication. Commercial Publications

Prospects: We actively support and distribute the full range of Graduate Prospects publications including the annual Prospects Directory, Prospects Law, Prospects for the Finalist and Prospects Today. Contact Graduate Prospects on 0161 277 5200 for further details.

In addition to this publications, we also make available at the Careers Service a range of other commercial publications for students to takeaway. There are some career publications which we do not support, or make available to students. Student Publications

The following are prepared to carry advertisements on behalf of recruiters. The first two listed below are widely distributed weekly throughout the university. Other publications may be aimed at a specific student audience. (Please note that the Careers Service cannot take any responsibility for the content of these newspapers, and recruiters are urged to make themselves familiar with the type of content published by asking editors for back issues or viewing the issues online.)

  • Varsity: Published weekly and available free to all university grads and postgrads. Widely distributed throughout the University and the Colleges. Contact Business Manager direct on or 01223 337 575 for more information or view their rate card for advertising costs.
  • The Cambridge Student: A student-led publication accessible to all university grads and postgrads. Contact Business Manager direct on 01223 761 609 to request a rate card and further information
  • BlueSci: Aimed primarily at STEM students and graduates, but available for free to all students, this is a glossy popular science magazine distributed across the University each term. For advertising rates and availability, please contact 01223 761 609.
