Raising your profile - student societies

Working with societies

There are nearly two hundred University student clubs and societies at Cambridge (you can see CUSU's directory of societies here if you wish to search by type). They range from large, well-established societies to newly-formed, small, and sometimes bizarre, groups. Most would welcome sponsorship, funding, guest speakers - and outside term times, visits to factory locations, open days etc. Details of societies and committee members' contact names and addresses can be found via the University's website or you can obtain a copy of the CUSU Handbook from Cambridge University Students Union: 01223 333 313.

There are also many student societies at College level. College bars and some social activities are run by college Junior Common Rooms or JCRs.

Sports Clubs and Societies

If you would like to discuss sponsorship opportunities with any of the sports teams at Cambridge a list can be seen here.

The Cambridge Hub is a student run body coordinating volunteering opportunities throughout Cambridge and further afield. Employer sponsorship will help unlock further opportunities for students to volunteer in helping the disadvantaged and needy, or work on environmental issues.

Cambridge University Radio

Cam FM is a student-run radio station for Cambridge University, broadcasting city-wide on 97.2FM. They offer on-air advertising and sponsorship to Graduate Recruiters with a turnaround time of 48 hours. You can contact Cam FM at, or leave a voicemail message on (01223) 852864 to discuss publicising your company through Cam FM.

Below are student/society run events that we list on our diary, many other societies or associations may hold events for organisations or alumni which you'd wish to attend.
