Raising your profile - sponsorship opportunities

Internship Bursaries

We currently offer over 60 bursaries of £500 each to students wishing to undertake any unpaid (or very low paid) internships, work experience or project work for a minimum of four weeks. These bursaries allow students (including PhD students) to gain vital work experience in sectors where paid work is rarely offered: media, arts and heritage and not-for-profit. Bursaries are jointly funded by the Careers Service Supporters Club member organisations. As we regularly receive hundreds of applications from students matched funding is being sought in order to expand the scheme both in number and in breadth.

Sponsors will contribute to the overall bursary scheme, rather than sponsoring a particular student or a specific placement. Publicity will show that additional bursaries have been made possible by the generosity of the sponsoring organisation and representatives will be invited to sit on the judging panels. Full student reports of all the projects undertaken will be made available to the sponsors. For more information please contact Claire Collet.

Careers Event Sponsorship

If your organisation is attending one of our Careers Events you may wish to sponsor either the cloth bags to be given out to students at the Event, or the branded polo shirts worn by our Event helpers; you can see an example of these in the sample programmes on each event page. Contact the Events Office if you would like to discuss this, or to put forward other sponsorship ideas.
