Booking your Cambridge visit

The Careers Service will help schedule your visit to avoid clashes with our events, or with other organisations in your sector. We will also assist in promoting your visit; these services are free of charge. You do not need to hold a formal presentation, visits may take the form of a dinner, workshop, drop-in session, coffee morning etc, so long as this visit takes place in Cambridge.

1. Reserve your date:

  • Read our visit FAQ's for Lent (Spring Term) before requesting a date. No bookings are taken in Easter (Exam) Term.
  • Before you book please check our visit schedule to see which dates/times have already been taken in your sector.
  • Submit a pdf date request form for Lent Term (14 Jan - 13 March) via Adobe and return to 
  • We will confirm your date allocation in writing as soon as possible.

2. Book your venue:

  • It is your responsibility to book a venue (plus any catering) and to manage a student sign-up if you wish to have one.
  • Meet Cambridge (was Conference Cambridge) offer a free venue-finding service, and will be able to give advice on the location of your visit.
  • You may also wish to check our finding a venue and University map pages.

3. Publicise your visit:

  • You'll need to complete the 'promotional text' request we send to you, for maximum publicity it's best to complete this promptly (web diary is live 2 weeks before the start of term).
  • Read our publicity pages for more detailed information, and for additional publicity ideas.
  • Each visit is publicised on the Thursday/Friday of the week before the visit, no earlier.
