About Cambridge University Careers Service

The Careers Service is a University-funded department offering information and guidance to undergraduates, postgraduates and alumni of all disciplines. We offer a service for life, to help throughout our graduates' subsequent careers.

What we do

Each term we run a careers education programme with briefings on specific careers and occupations and the skills needed to apply for and to secure employment. We also run a full programme of careers events to help both students and employers. Throughout the year we offer students and alumni one-to-one interviews to discuss any careers-related issues.

How we can help employers and recruiters

By advertising your vacancies and vacation opportunities, facilitating opportunities for you to meet students, disseminating information about your organisation and helping to raise your recruitment profile at Cambridge. To maintain our independence we do not preselect candidates. We work with recruitment agencies acting on your behalf only when we have your explicit agreement to do so. We have not entered into any agreement, nor do we co-operate with, any commercial internet-based graduate recruitment sites.

Who you can contact

Every organisation registering with us is allocated a careers adviser who will act as your point of contact and be happy to discuss with you anything concerning your recruitment requirements. Our Events Team is your contact for bookings for events and visits (presentations, drop-ins, etc).

Do make an appointment to come and see us at the Careers Service, we will be pleased to show you around and to meet to discuss all your recruitment needs. We can also visit you by arrangement.

We welcome your comments and feedback. Please email us or post to the address below. You will find further information in the Cambridge University Careers Service Annual Report (including First Destination Statistics).
