Recruiters' Portal - Attending Our Events

Throughout the academic year, the Careers Service organises a number of careers events at which employers, students and graduates meet. These range from general recruitment and internship events to smaller, more targeted events.

The table below lists our programme of events for the next academic year. Click on the relevant event to find out more. Our Events are generally open to organisations recruiting graduates and offering vacation opportunities, and professional bodies, and course-providers. Before we consider your eligibility to attend an event, your organisation must be registered with the Careers Service. Use our enquiry form to find out more.

EASTER TERM
Wednesday 23 June 2010 2.00 to 5.00pm University Centre Mill Lane Cambridge CB2 1RU	Summer Recruitment Event An event for employers with vacancies to fill for the coming Autumn/winter. Open to finalists - our undergraduates will have left Cambridge.	Informal, table provided. One small banner stand only.	£600 (+vat)	No details for 2010 yet available. At our last event 450 students came along to meet 23 participating organisations.
MICHAELMAS TERM
Wednesday 13 October 2010 1.00 to 6.00pm University Centre	Banking and Finance Event	3mx2m pitch for stands	2009 cost was £910(+vat)	Opens for booking 2nd week March 2009 65 organisations participated in our 2009 event which was attended by 817 students.
Thursday 14 October 2010 1.00 to 6.00pm University Centre	Consultancy Event	3mx2m pitch for stands	2009 cost was £910 (+vat)	Opens for booking 2nd week March 2009 46 organisations participated in the 2009 event. Over 700 students came along to meet them.
Wednesday 27 October 2010 1.00 to 4.30pm University Centre	Solicitors' Event	3mx2m pitch for stands	2009 cost was £800 (+vat)	Opens for booking for Supporters Club members only - 3rd week of March 2009. Non-members from 2nd week April 62 solicitors, 4 course providers, the GLS, and a leading community service and policy development charity met over 350 students at this event.
TBC - 2009 event was on 3 November 1.00 to 3.00pm Marshall Library Economics Faculty	Careers in Economics	Informal. Table provided. One small banner stand only	2009 cost was £385 (+vat)	A record attendance of 160 students visited 10 organisations in the Marshall Library.
Wednesday 3 November 2010 4.30 to 7.00pm Centre for Mathematical Sci's	Careers For Mathematicians For organisations offering work with high mathematical content	Informal 'table only'. No stands permitted.	2009 cost was £385 (+vat)	Opens for booking end May 2009 23 organisations offering work with high mathematical content met over 370 students.
Wednesday 10 November 2010 3.30pm to 6pm University Centre	Advertising and Marketing Communications Event	Informal. Table provided. Max 2 small banner stands only	2009 cost was £385 (+vat)	Opens for booking 2nd week April 2009 Over 100 students met 7 advertising and marketing communications organisations, with a concurrent series of talks running throughout the afternoon.
Wednesday 10 November 2010 1.00 to 5.30pm University Centre	Business and Management Event Graduate programmes for professional careers (Previously Autumn Careers Event)	3mx2m pitch for stands	2009 cost was £730 (+vat)	Opens for booking 2nd week April 2009 336 students came along to meet 40 organisations.
Thursday 11 November 2010 1.00 to 5.30pm University Centre	Science, Engineering and Technology Event (Previously ACE) A sector event for telecomms, engineering, IT, manufacturing, patent work, R & D, pharma, science and technology, transport, power/utilities	3mx2m pitch for stands	2009 cost was £730 (+vat)	Opens for booking 2nd week April 2009 Over 700 programmes were handed out to our student audience. 66 organisations attended this event.
Thursday 2 December 2010 1.00 to 6.00pm University Centre	Internships and Vacation Work Opportunities Event An all-sector event for internship and vacation work opportunities for Easter and Summer 2010	3mx2m pitch for stands	2009 cost was £730 (+vat)	Opens for booking 3rd week June 2009 This event was a huge success with more than twice the number of students attending as for our 2008 Event! Over 900 students came along to meet employers covering a wide range of career sectors.
