The strategy, finances, staffing and overall activities of the Careers Service is overseen by the Careers Service Syndicate. This Syndicate is Chaired by the Vice Chancellor's nominee: Stuart Laing, The Master of Corpus Christi College. Syndicate members include representatives from the Student and Graduate Unions, the Colleges, the University Council and eight external co-opted members. The full list of current Syndics appears in the back of our Annual Report. A smaller Executive Committee of 6 - 8 members drawn from the Syndicate meet on a termly basis to consider and decide on major matters shaping the activities and success of the Service. Minutes of these meetings are available to students and staff on request.

Although an integral part of the Careers Service, our work with PostDoctoral research staff is overseen and funded separately through the Researcher Development Committee and Researcher Development Executive. Our working relationship with Colleges is important and maintained through a personal relationship our Careers Advisers enjoy with three or four Colleges each.

In addition to the Syndicate and Researcher Development Committee, the Director and senior colleagues attend assorted Faculty Boards, School Councils and University committees to discuss the work of the Service, our ambitions and where that committee's support is necessary to improve the employability of our students and researchers.
