Activate & use your Handshake account

We've partnered with an external platform, Handshake, so students, postdocs, and alumni can access the Careers Service, explore opportunities, and build your network.

With Handshake, you can:

• Access the Careers Service anytime – book appointments, browse jobs and events, and use resources via web or mobile.
• Upload CVs & cover letters – for Careers Consultants to review during online appointments. Make these ‘Public’ or ‘Visible’ if you want employers to see them. 
• Get tailored recommendations – receive opportunities and information based on your subject and interests. Hint: update your career interests in your profile to get more tailored content. 
• Network and learn – create a profile, explore industries, connect with peers, and message other users.

Registration tips:

• Current students: Use ‘Current students & staff’ with Raven authentication.
• Alumni: Use ‘Postdocs & alumni’ with a @cantab.ac.uk or cantab.net email.
• Postdocs (Cambridge/UPI): Complete the registration survey for account setup.
