Our careers fairs are the most effective way for you to raise the profile of your organisation. They present an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your opportunities amongst the wide range of diverse talent at Cambridge in a short timeframe. 

Students from all years and disciplines attend the fairs, as well as recent alumni and post-docs. You will meet diverse students at various stages of their career journey. Some will be in the exploratory stages seeking information to decide their suitability for different sectors and roles. Others will be ready to apply for jobs and wish to enhance their understanding of your recruitment and assessment processes to make quality applications. Attendees will expect to meet with graduate recruiters/HR representatives, alumni and business representatives.

Creative Careers Festival 

A series of events, talks and resources highlighting career options across the creative sector covering film, theatre, media, science communications, publishing, creative writing, creative freelance careers, journalism and marketing communications. If you are interested in taking part, please complete our Expression of Interest form. You will need to be registered on Handshake first.


Life Sciences Event (New)

A series of events enabling students to explore the full range of career options in the life science sector, from research and development to ‘hands off’ roles with employers. 

Life Sciences Fair

Wednesday 1 February - 16:00 - 19:00

We welcome organisations working across therapeutics, drug discovery, and reagents in the biomedical field in addition to those focusing on plant science, agriculture and healthcare. We'll also be welcoming organisations who provide services to life science-based firms.


Green Careers Festival 

Organised in collaboration with Cambridge Zero, the festival focuses on helping students to discover possible career paths and opportunities in sustainability and environment-related organisations.

Green Careers Fair

Wednesday 7 February - 13:00 - 16:00

The Green Careers Fair is open to organisations with work opportunities in the green sector. Organisations attending must be engaged in work relevant to the green agenda and may only promote relevant roles at the fair.


Tech Festival (New)

A series of events enabling students to explore the full range of career options in the tech industry. 

Tech Fair

Wednesday 15 February - 16:00 - 19:00

The Tech Fair connects tech firms with students interested in pursuing technically skilled careers such as development, coding and cloud computing; and non-technical careers including UX, UI, marketing, ethics, psychology, communications and politics.  


Careers in China

Meet high-calibre students and graduates from some of the best universities in the world at the online Career in China event. Comprising of various recruitment and careers education panels you can choose to engage in live panel discussion events to share recruitment tips and help to educate our students about opportunities available with you.

Autumn 2022

We aim to provide a flexible and cost-effective way for you to engage with our community. The Michaelmas (Autumn) 2022 fairs were a combination of physical and virtual events, retaining the best aspects of each to suit the differing needs of employers, students, recent graduates and post-docs. 

Banking & Finance Fair 

Virtual Fair – Monday 10 October 2022 13:00 – 15:00 
In-person Fair – Tuesday 11 October 2022 13:00 – 17:00 

A popular destination for our students after graduation, these fairs offer employers in the finance industry the opportunity to showcase the variety of roles available and to build their brand on campus.  

We welcome registrations from organisations offering graduate roles and/or internships in the finance sector including accountancy, actuarial, capital markets, financial management, fintech, investment banking, insurance, pensions, retail banking, risk management and taxation. 


Consultancy Fair 

In-person Fair – Wednesday 12 October 2022 13:00 – 17:00 
Virtual Fair – Thursday 13 October 2022 13:00 – 15:00 

These fairs are the prime opportunity for organisations operating in the consultancy sector to engage with our highly qualified students and graduates and build their brand on campus. 
We welcome registrations from organisations with roles in management, strategy, economic, financial, public, health, technology, human resources and other areas of the consultancy sector. 


Law Fair 

In-person Fair – Tuesday 18 October 2022 13:00 – 17:00 
Virtual Fair – Wednesday 19 October 2022 13:00 – 15:00 

These fairs are the prime opportunity for organisations operating in the law sector to engage with our highly qualified students and graduates and build their brand on campus. 
We welcome registrations from law firms, course providers and sector relevant pro bono organisations. 

We will be running a Barristers event in the Law Department in November.  If you are interested in taking part, please complete our Expression of Interest form.


Maths & Quantitative Finance Fair 

Thursday 20 October 2022 - 15:00 - 17:30

This in-person only fair is attended by students wishing to explore career pathways in quantitative finance and/or careers that utilise their highly skilled mathematical abilities. This includes actuarial work, cryptography, forecasting, complex modelling, operational research, computational fluid dynamics, meteorology and signal processing. Representatives should ideally be practitioners able to discuss their work, and answer detailed questions raised by our maths and physics students. 


Graduate Schemes & Internships Fair 

Virtual Fair – Monday 24 October 2022 13:00 – 15:00 
In-person Fair – Tuesday 25 October 2022 13:00 – 16:00 

This fair is open to employers of all sizes and sectors with a range of graduate opportunities. It is our only fair with a broad non-sector specific focus and presents an opportunity for your organisation to promote the diverse opportunities you may have.  These could include internships or graduate roles in areas such as supply chain, logistics, distribution, sales/sales management, financial management, corporate social responsibility, human resources, operations and communications. 

We welcome registrations from a diverse range of organisations including multi-national organisations, retail, manufacturing, FMCG, and companies seeking their future managers, to communications, SMEs and start-ups. To attend organisations must offer paid graduate-level roles and/or internships. 


Economics Fair 

Thursday 27 October 2022 - Time 13:00 – 15:00

This in-person only fair is attended by students in the Department of Economics and those considering a career in economics. We welcome registrations from organisations offering specifically economics-related graduate level roles and/or internships.  


Engineering Fair 

In-person Fair – Tuesday 1 November 2022 13:00 – 17:00
Virtual Fair – Wednesday 2 November 2022 13:00 – 15:00 

The Engineering faculty is the largest faculty at the University of Cambridge. This fair is the prime opportunity for organisations with graduate roles and internships in the engineering sector to engage with our highly qualified students and graduates. Build your brand with students and recent graduates from all years and degree disciplines interested in an engineering career.  


Barristers Event 

Thursday 24th November 2022 - 12:30 – 15:30

Meet Cambridge students interested in a career at the Bar. This in-person only fair takes place in the Law department and is attended by students wishing to learn more about routes to the profession, qualifications needed to become a barrister and funding options available. They will be looking to hear from practicing barristers on their experience of the Bar as well as learning about different practice areas and gaining application tips.

Cambridge University careers fairs and festivals are exclusively for our students and recent graduates. Anyone else will be turned away.
