Head of Careers - Graham Philpott
Graham joined the Careers Service as the Head of Careers in August 2024, and has over 30 years in and around Careers and HR, working in a variety of sectors including not-for-profit, banking, utilities and multi-national conglomerates. Most recently, Graham was at the University of Reading, where he worked in both the central careers service and Henley Business School.

Careers Consultants
Our Careers Consultants offer careers support for all undergraduates, masters students, PhD students, and alumni. Each consultant specialises in a selection of career areas and academic departments. The careers consultants liaise with employers, research careers information, organise talks and panel events and offer one-to-one advice sessions.
Adrienne Jolly
Adrienne is an experienced Careers Consultant who is associated with the Arts and Humanities Schools Team. She is the Careers Service point of contact for Christ's College and Darwin College. Adrienne is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AdvanceHE), a trainer for AGCAS, and holds a PG Diploma in Career Development & Coaching Studies.
Beka Kimberley
Beka works closely with the Education Faculty, the Faculty of Human, Social and Political Science, and the Widening Participation team. She also leads the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team, and is the Careers Service point of contact for Homerton College and Corpus Christi College. She has a PG Diploma in Careers Education, Information and Guidance in HE. Beka is one of our named contacts for Care-experienced students, and is also a contact for students who wish to discuss disabilities.
Caroline Lindner
Caroline has extensive experience as a graduate recruitment, HR, and communications professional. Caroline is associated with the School of Physical Sciences and is the Careers Service point of contact for Robinson College and Trinity Hall College. She has a PG Diploma in Career Development and Employability. Caroline is a contact for students who wish to discuss disabilities.
Darren Johnson
Darren has over 20 years’ experience as a Careers Practitioner in Higher Education, and is associated with the School of Biological Sciences and Clinical Medicine. He is the Careers Service point of contact for Selwyn College and Magdalene College. Darren is one of our named contacts for Care-experienced students.
Diane Caldwell
Diane is a careers consultant for researchers with a particular focus on supporting researchers in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. She is the Careers Service point of contact for Hughes Hall College and St. Edmund’s College. Her background is in music and politics and she has worked internationally in the public service before joining Cambridge. Diane is completing the CTI coach training programme.
Emily Stoner
Practising in the careers guidance and development sector for most of her career, Emily has worked with a range of clients. She is associated with the Schools of Humanities and Social Sciences (Economics and Judge Business School) and is the Careers Service point of contact for St Catharine’s College and King’s College. Emily is an AGCAS trainer and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AdvanceHE). Emily is trained in Career Development & Guidance, motivational interviewing and academic practice (PGCAP).
Jane Ansell
Jane has a background in music and arts marketing, and is associated with the School of Arts and Humanities. Jane has extensive experience of student and employer-facing work within the Careers Service. She is working towards a PG Diploma in Careers Guidance with Warwick University. Jane is the Careers Service point of contact for Clare College and for Murray Edwards College, is one of our named contacts for Care-experienced students, and is also a contact for students who wish to discuss disabilities.
Krista Cooper
Krista has extensive experience in graduate recruitment across various sectors and is the Careers Consultant Lead for a team of Careers Consultants. She is associated with the School of Arts and Humanities and is the Careers Service point of contact for Girton College and Newnham College. Krista also has an interest in Schools Outreach, and has a PG Diploma in Career Development & Coaching studies
Lucy Romijn
Lucy has a background in Further Education and widening participation - she is a Trainer for AGCAS and leads the Careers Service in the School of Biological Sciences and Clinical Medicine. Lucy is the Careers Service point of contact for Lucy Cavendish College, Pembroke College and St John’s College. She has a PG Diploma in Careers Guidance, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Raj Sidhu
Raj has extensive experience in guiding students in a diverse range of sectors, in both Cambridge and London. With a corporate background, he is associated with the Physical Sciences and Tech school team. He is the Careers Service point of contact for Churchill and Trinity College. Raj has a PG Diploma in Career Coaching.
Sonali Shukla
Sonali has a broad range of experience in student support for higher education in both the US and UK. She is associated with the Schools of Physical Sciences and Technology and has an academic research background, focusing on supporting PhD students and postdocs. Sonali is the Careers Service point of contact for Emmanuel College and Gonville and Caius College.
Vicki Tipton
Vicki is an experienced Careers Consultant, having worked at London universities, prior to Cambridge. She supports the researcher client group in the life sciences and is the Careers Service point of contact for Wolfson College and Clare College. Vicki holds a PG Diploma in Career Guidance in Higher Education.
