Whether you are at the start of your career journey or ready to apply, careers fairs & festivals are a great way to meet managers, recent graduates & recruiters in an informal setting to:

  • develop insights into company cultures, working practices and career paths, and compare what they offer
  • discuss career paths and job roles and where you might fit
  • gain information on hiring and selection processes
  • build your network

Focus on Fellowships

Don't miss our key events in March, including a virtual Funders' Fair on 14th March where you can talk to the funders to find out how you specifically might be eligible for a fellowship.

Creative Careers Festival

This programme includes a series of panel events, insights and resources to provide an overview of the roles and routes available into the creative sector, from publishing; the performing arts and production, to gaming; museums and the media.

Life Sciences Careers Week

Life Science students have a huge range of post-study options. From the lab to industrial research via finance, policy and consulting, your skills and knowledge are an asset in a diverse and changing landscape. But how to navigate the options? Gain ideas and inspiration for your next steps through our panel and networking events, video content and resources.

Policy, Charity & International Development Festival 

This festival is your essential starting point for the sector. You can attend  a speed networking event ,a series of panel discussions with representatives working in the sector and other resources to help you move on in the sector. 

Green Careers Festival

Led by our flagship Green Careers Fair, this festival focuses on helping you discover possible career paths and opportunities in sustainability and environment-related organisations. Organised in collaboration with Cambridge Zero.

Tech Festival

Highlights include a Careers in Tech Networking Panel and Tech Careers Fair and networking events.

A series of events for PhDs and Postdocs to support you to explore what you want from your next career step.

Navigating the academic job market

A series of events for PhDs and Postdocs to support you to explore next steps in academia.  The programme includes keynote discussions, workshops and panel events.

Finalist Focus

A programme of activities to help you prepare for what comes next on the completion of your course. Includes the Graduate Jobs Fairs where you can meet organisations from a range of sectors with graduate-level roles with immediate, autumn or early winter start dates.

Employers in finance, consulting, energy, technology and education take part in this programme which supports students looking to work for international and Chinese organisations based in Mainland China and Hong Kong (SAR). Organised with LSE Careers and Imperial College Careers Service.

  • Research news and articles
  • Ask questions
  • Dress appropriately and if joining a virtual event, consider your background
  • Take notes - they might be useful in future applications
  • For in-person fairs, if you would benefit from talking to an employer in a quieter environment you can ask to see them in a 'quiet room' next to the main fair
  • Follow up after events
